After spending 16+ years in the legal field as Senior Paralegal for a general practice law firm with a concentration in real estate and insurance defense, Cindy left the security of that career in 1999 to help form Penton Properties, a real estate acquisition, development and construction firm based near Charlotte, North Carolina. Over the next ten years, she helped grow that company into a multi-million dollar corporation which was ultimately comprised of nine separate entities with combined assets in excess of $20 million dollars including a semi-private golf course and fitness center. As a Principal and Key Administrator for Penton, Cindy was responsible for tracking the inter-relational aspects of the companies, maintaining corporate compliance with regulatory and licensing agencies and evaluating the tax and financial implications of prospective projects. She also assisted with the structural organization of each entity and implemented all bookkeeping and administrative office procedures while making sure the operations ran smoothly and efficiently. She continues to exhibit her command of financial and administrative matters in her role as President and Managing Member of Joshua Group Properties overseeing all financial and accounting related aspects of the Company, as well as its general day-to-day functions. Cindy holds an Associates Degree in Paralegal Technologies from Central Piedmont Community College in Charlotte, North Carolina.

 
Bob began his career in sales in the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area as a salesman for an office furniture and equipment company. His initiative and determination propelled him through the management ranks as he began selling larger accounts while growing his customer base. He went on to become Vice President of Sales for an office solutions company in Texas and later the Regional Manager for a major office equipment manufacturer in the southwest. He has won many top Sales awards, incentives and bonuses in the office solutions industry including Sales Representative for the Year representing eight states. He most recently served as Vice President for an office solutions company in Charlotte, North Carolina and was directly responsible for increasing its sales to over $10 million. Bob currently oversees the sales and marketing division of Joshua Group.

 
Honorably discharged from the U.S. Army in 1995 after serving for over 15 years, Chris’ time in the Service taught him strong leadership skills which served him well in the areas of personnel training and management, and the ability to motivate and lead during extreme situations. In addition, he gained valuable expertise in sales and critical time management during his command of various Recruiting Stations in the Carolinas. In 1997, Chris joined a Charlotte, NC land development company as project manager overseeing development and construction of its residential communities in both North and South Carolina. He formed Penton Properties in 1999 and began developing residential communities in both Carolinas, as well as, Virginia. Chris has been a licensed residential contractor since 1997 in North and South Carolina, a licensed commercial contractor in North Carolina since 2008 and has held the designation of real estate Broker-in-Charge in both states since 1992. He is also a Licensed Independent Insurance Adjuster in North and South Carolina. As Lead Construction Consultant for Joshua Group Properties, Chris directs all construction-related activities, conducts all insurance inspections and construction consulting processes utilizing Xactimate software and manages the acquisition, design and development of new projects.

 
Born and raised in New York, Tom has been in the building industry since he was a child. He was fortunate enough to grow up around his Grandfather, a carpenter from Holland, who instilled in him sound work ethics and taught him master craftsmanship. Tom went on to earn a business degree from Buffalo State College of New York. After graduation, he parlayed his knowledge and experience into building and owning a successful residential construction company in New York. In the 1990s, Tom was offered the opportunity to come to the Carolinas and assist a local building company on a contract basis, a move that Tom felt would expand his expertise. That decision proved to be the catalyst for Tom to move his family to the Carolinas and experience unprecedented growth in his company. His superior craftsmanship, customer service and hands-on approach has earned him two Pinnacle and two Merit Awards from the South Carolina Home Builders Association. As Joshua Group’s Construction Manager, Tom supervises all aspects of each construction-related project and works directly with the client to ensure their expectations are met or exceeded. He continues to specialize in building and remodeling homes, water/fire/wind/storm damage remediation, church remodels/upfits as well as commercial work.

 
ASouth Carolina Licensed Real Estate Appraiser specializing in York, Lancaster and Chester counties, Kevin became affiliated with the Joshua Group in 2009. His five- plus years of experience appraising single and multi-family residences, manufactured homes, and income-producing properties coupled with previous work experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical and framing have resulted in a unique and extensive knowledge of the home valuation process. He has performed every aspect of appraisals from new home punch lists, draw inspections, and neighborhood consulting, to REO and foreclosed property inspections. While working for one of the largest appraisal firms in York County, Kevin performed appraisal and home measurement services for clients such as Appraisal Management Companies, national and local Mortgage Lenders, and well-known Real Estate Agencies. His diligence, efficiency and attention to detail advanced him through the corporate ranks to the position of Lead Appraiser within a few short years. As Lead Appraiser for Joshua Group Properties, Kevin continues to provide Appraisal and Home Measurement services, as well as, valuable market knowledge to all of its clients.

 
Tim joined Joshua Group Properties in January, 2010 bringing with him the unique experience he gained in his 3+ years as a Real Estate Sales Professional. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in North Carolina and Realtor in South Carolina and will provide support to assist builders, homeowners, and investors with the sales for Joshua Group Properties. Tim’s broad range of experience along with his strong work ethic and core values will bring yet another experienced, honorable member to the team. Tim holds a Master of Arts Degree and has had a successful career in law enforcement and counseling. He currently lives in Monroe, NC with his wife of 17 years and four children.

 
After transferring from North Carolina State University to the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, Brandon received his B.A. in Communication Studies in 2008. During his time at NC State and UNCC, he concentrated his areas of study in Business Management, Interpersonal Communication, and Organizational Communication. From 2006 to 2008, Brandon managed 5 communities as part of a residential development company based in the greater Charlotte area. Brandon joined Joshua Group in 2009 and now heads up the REO and Property Preservation Division utilizing his skills and experience to assist lenders, asset managers and real estate professionals with preserving and protecting distressed properties.
